Trying to get up and started...

Well I decided that it's time I really had a proper website.
I used to have a Etsy shop but it got ridiculous what I was being charged each month considering how little I was selling. And the constant changes on the site got rather frustrating.
Then I found a really handy shop here in Invercargill which allowed me to sell through it, less a small commission. That commission was even less if the artist actually volunteered a day or so in the shop. I couldn't do that at first as I was still in full time work but once I retired in March 2023 I was able to offer a Monday in the shop.
I also started doing a local monthly market. Unfortunately the Artists Collective closed at the end of August 2024 (Lana moved to new premises/home) and then the Market decided to close in October 2024.
So.... I was left with a lot of stock - and even more yarn - as you can see...
I did try creating a business page on FB but found I was getting scam emails - and 2 "buyers" who were also scammers. And the cost of "advertising" was also more each month...
That means I need to spend a lot of time taking photos of my stock and sorting out a website.
Lana recommended WIX. This afternoon I have spent more than a few hours trying to get it up and running.
So fingers crossed...
